PASIH’s programs and projects are concentrated in the southern part of Siberut. Areas on which PASIH focuses include seven villages located in three districts. PASIH develops conservation programs in Maileppet village, Muara Siberut, Madobak, Matotonan and Saibi. Argoforestry activities are implemented in Saliguma (Gotaphamlet), Saibi (Sirisurak hamlet) and Tailelelu. Through our programmes and projects PASIH reachesaround 2000 households and 10 000 inhabitants. The nature of the locations are varied, from coastal villages (Taileleu, Maileppet, Saliguma, and Saibi) and to villages located in forest areas (Matotonan and Madobak). Some of the villages that PASIH supports are located within the national park, meaning that at the same time as helping the inhabitants of the villages, we are also helping to support the conservation within the park.

In addition, PASIH is developing community-based ecotourism programs with residents in Tinambu and Malagasat. Tinambu and Malagasat is a traditional settlement in South Siberut and is a key destination for. PASIH is helping to develop an ecotourism model that provides benefits for conservation while also bringing economic benefits to local communities.
